Yes I agree sometimes we need reminders that God is with us and is working on our behalf even when we can’t see it. I need it often. I’m glad you don’t feel lonely. You don’t need a man to find happiness. God loves us like no one else will ever be able to. I am in my mid twenties and ever since high school I’ve always had someone of the opposite sex (friend, crush, boyfriend) that would make me feel special on Feb 14th. This year I am single with NO prospects, and I realize that it is the first Valentine’s Day in several years where I won’t be sent flowers, taken to dinner, or even wished happy Vday by anyone. At first I was really down about that fact and super in my feelings, but the past few days I have gotten excited about it. I’ve never been “here” before and while I am single, I am not lonely and definitely not alone. I know that the Lord is with me and preparing me for whoever He has for me in my future. Your blog post was just an added confirmation of that for me today because sometimes we need reminders :)! Thank you for sharing and Happy Valentine’s Day.
