The true test of your character is not only what most people briefly see in you. Yes, this is important and apart of it. But it’s your actions to those you are closest to and are real with. It’s also what you do when no one else is around.

We can put on a great front on social media of our perfect lives with our best heel forward but it’s difficult to hide who you are when you live under the same roof. I have verse 1 John 3:18 as a reminder on our fridge at home. I want our home to be a place where we can be real, warm, caring, hospitable, truthful, and sense the peace of Christ.

We owe EVERYTHING to the One who paid the ultimate price for our mistakes. The One who never ceases to show grace when we mess things up. The One who provides blesses us, gives us joy, and brings us strength when we think we can’t go anymore. The One who is working behind the scenes on our behalf, for our good- even when we can’t see it. Sometimes we live like we have forgotten all of this.

It starts with audaciously pursuing Jesus in scripture, prayer, and/or worship daily.

Don’t be like many who say one thing and live another way around the closest people in their lives. Don’t be like those who are stressed and miserable trying to cover their secrets sins when they are alone. You are an overcomer through Christ who gives you strength!

Be real. Be different. Be audacious.

A Prayer For You

Thank You Lord for Your truth and reminder to live out what we say. Thank You for giving us the courage to live our lives in an audacious way that brings glory to You around others and when no one is looking. In Jesus’ name, amen!
