Being a Christian in this Political Climate

I’ve never been too excited about politics because it seems there’s corruption from all sides. Being a Christian in this political climate can get messy if we aren’t careful. 

Now I’m going to boldly share my opinion with y’all but I still value you as a person if you disagree. We don’t have to see eye to eye on politics for me to love you.

Before I do, I want to sprinkle in some hope because we all need it! I know I can only take so much seriousness being pregnant until I need some happy thoughts. 

Here we go… In this current political climate, we have to be involved if we want to keep our rights as Christians. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then please allow me to explain. 

Our country was founded as one nation under God. Our government was formed as a democracy to keep power from being abused by essentially big government or dictatorship. 

Remember how the pilgrims came from England to get away from the King who wasn’t allowing them religious freedom and putting all kinds of regulations on them? They arrived here 400 years ago on 11/11/1620 and signed the Mayflower Compact (Read Mayflower Compact). 

As years passed, the freedom movement became stronger where others wanted to come here. In 1776, we had our Declaration of Independence written by men who were inspired by God. Seriously go read it for yourself. (Read Declaration of Independence). 

Freedoms don’t come free and can easily be stolen away if we let the wrong people get in power who want to take away our freedoms that make America so great. Especially those who want to silence our freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom to pursue happiness.

I know it’s not easy or popular to be a Christian. You’re in the minority (from media’s perspective) if you want to keep God in our pledge of allegiance and in God We Trust on our money. The democrats running for office sure want God removed from everything (hello people). 

The left is trying so hard to cause division that doesn’t even exist and then pin it on President Trump even though he’s fighting for the minorities and equality. There is literally nothing Trump has done that has been racist at all and has only called for justice for all (see here). 

It blows my mind what people just go along with because they hear other people talking about it or it’s in the news no matter if it’s true or not. Trump can’t be bought like most and says what is exactly on his mind and the left HATES it.

The left is so irate, intolerant, and violent towards anyone they disagree with. Yet they want us to be tolerant of only what they want (aka complete hypocrisy). 

One particular instance that freaked me out recently (but there are too many to count) is how a young woman went online and posted how she saw a young kid wearing a Trump face mask and wanted to murder him. This woman was an HR professional and here she was blatantly wanting to murder someone (a kid) for their political stance. I wish I would’ve taken a screenshot of it before it was gone. 

Any respectable human being can disagree with others opinions and still have regard for others. That’s certainly one way to tell the left from the right. The left has so much hate in their hearts yet claim to be so sensitive…

“Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals. Stay clear of these people. These are the kind of people who smooth-talk themselves into the homes of unstable and needy women and take advantage of them; women who, depressed by their sinfulness, take up with every new religious fad that calls itself “truth.” They get exploited every time and never really learn.” 2 Timothy 3:1‭-‬9

What we’re seeing today is certainly how many just take up the latest movement and call it truth. It’s not necessarily that those people are evil but they are ignorant to the truth (blind). Those who know better are exploiting ignorance to advance their evil agendas.

Because I’m a woman, the part about women being taken advantage of speaks to me in the verse above. It brings to mind abortion because abortion clinics are strategically set up in minority and impoverished areas preying on the vulnerable. 

Did you know the woman who founded Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger was openly a white racist trying to kill off the black population with these abortion clinics? I’m sure you haven’t heard that… 

Here are the Planned Parenthood founders exact words in a letter: “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” (See here).

You also probably didn’t know Republicans have been more on the side of equality than Democrats have historically and still are today. Christians who follow the Bible know that we are all one and equal in Christ. That’s Bible 101.

Anyway, there is a silent majority who still stands with God and isn’t afraid to do so. The major media outlets don’t want you to know about it, in fact they censor by closing accounts, deleting videos, etc. if they don’t agree with you (and we wonder why we only hear one side of the story on politics).

Another sprinkle of hope please and thank you!

The majority of people still want freedom of speech, religion, assembly, to bear arms, etc. It’s sad that we need the freedom to bear arms but the hard truth is this: there are corrupt people who have evil intentions and don’t care about you at all. They let evil rule them like puppets and have completely lost their moral compass. They go with the highest bidder.

We have to be able to bear arms as originally intended so that the government doesn’t ever take away our freedom. Again sad, but it is what it is. When the government wants to take this, murder babies, and silence your voice and freedoms, you know we will be in for trouble. 

In the United States we are so blessed to be able to have these freedoms. Do you know 245 million people are persecuted each year for their faith (opendoorusa.org)? Look at communist China- they don’t allow Christianity. If we aren’t careful, the same will come true here in our home if we let it. 

President Trump has a plan to combat religious persecution here and internationally. But I’m sure you didn’t hear about that because the left controlled media doesn’t advertise any good things he’s done. In fact they twisted it to make religious freedom sound awful. President Trump hasn’t removed God from anything and won’t. He is and will continue to protect not only our religious freedoms but our right to bear arms, free speech, protecting innocent lives, standing with Israel, and keeping law and order. The left wants to erase history and remove it all.

If you don’t understand the importance of standing with Israel and all the historic peace agreements that have been made recently by President Trump, please read your Bible. Here is why but there can be much more found on this…

• For people who rise up against Israel in the end times: “I will punish you and your armies with disease and bloodshed; I will send torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur!” Ezekiel 38:22

God can use imperfect people like He has since the beginning of time to protect His people. Trump is a bulldog who will fight for America and is completely transparent. 

We aren’t voting for the best personality or best Christian because those aren’t our options. This isn’t the time for getting on your religious high horse and not voting at all. Our children and their futures are at stake.

I’d much rather have someone running our country who is fighting trafficking, social injustice, protecting innocent lives and our freedoms. Not someone who lets violence rule, can’t form a coherent sentence, obviously has a problem with touching kids inappropriately, and can be sold to the highest bidder. 

Do you really think Biden will be against trafficking when he’s creepy with kids and wants to defund the police? I’m not counting on it. 

Some married friends were at Walmart just the other day here in Oklahoma with their 2 kids. They were being stalked by 3 men who were taking pictures of their kids and texting someone like mad. Thankfully they got out of the parking lot safely but the men also took pictures of their car and tag as they left. Don’t tell me trafficking doesn’t exist. 

Garrett and I have a little girl we’re about to bring into this world any day now. I can’t believe I have to be so vigilant (even with my husband) when we go to the store because with a little girl, we’ll be a walking target for traffickers.

Anyway, we can’t let what we believe to be the mass majority trick us into deceit. A wolf in sheep’s clothing as the Bible says. We have to examine the facts instead of being led by emotion stirred up by “popular” media.

Again, I’m boldly sharing my opinion with y’all but I still value you as a person if you disagree. I just want Christians to be careful of who and what organizations they support and REALLY do the research. Don’t just believe what you hear from Twitter, Facebook, Fox, or CNN and pray God would give you discernment.

Lord Jesus, please heal our nation and land. We pray for a revival to sweep through turning our hearts back to You and pray Chronicles 7:14 over the USA. Break our heart for what breaks Yours Lord. Give us wisdom in every choice we make and protect us from those who want to do us harm. In Jesus name, amen.
