Everyone has troubles in this life whether we see it or not. It’s what we do when troubles come our way that matters. Do we have a wavering faith and what does that mean? What kind of faith do you have when troubles come?
Do you cave under pressure like a rock under lava? Do you run scared when life throws an unexpected curve ball? Or do you trust God when fear grips you?
I don’t know about you but I want to be stable in my faith with the Lord. I don’t want any strong wind that comes to blow my house down. To do that we need a solid foundation in the Lord.
Having a solid foundation in the Lord means having an intimate and trusting relationship knowing that God always has a plan and we can trust that His ways are better than ours. It means that we are loyal to Him when the world tries to entice us away with sin.
You see those who walk with the Lord have favor. My family calls it walking in the FOG (favor of God). Those who don’t do His will no longer are walking in the FOG.
Being outside of the will of God is a very scary thing to me because we are no longer under His divine protection from the enemy or experiencing His favor. I’ve lived inside and outside of His will and if you don’t believe the FOG exists, test it for yourself. It’s real.
What is Waivering Faith?
“Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.” James 1:6-8
Let’s strive to have a strong deeply rooted faith in God. When we do, we won’t be terrified because God is our rock and He is in control of the situation even if we can’t see it YET.
A Prayer For You
Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your divine protection and intervention and love that I don’t deserve. Give me wisdom and strength when troubles come so that my faith never wavers. I trust You no matter what may come. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Stay hopeful!
