“When you face what you fear, you become fearless.” Lisa Bevere
We all have struggles in this life. For me specifically, fear is one of them. Recently a woman at church who found out I have been struggling with fear suggested a book for me. The book she suggested is called “Hinds Feet on High Places”. My sweet mom bought this book for me and left it in my mailbox a couple of days ago. It is so intriguing that I haven’t been able to hardly put it down. This allegory work of fiction is about a sweet young, deformed, and fearful girl known as Much-Afraid. This story is about her journey through the various struggles of life’s emotions- fear, loneliness, humiliation, pain, sorrow, pride, bitterness, joy, peace- at least this is what I’ve read up to this point. We all have these obstacles in our life at some point as well.
As Lisa Bevere says, it’s time to fight like a girl.
You are a unique woman of God with a specific plan and calling on your life. The enemy doesn’t want you to get there, so he puts obstacles in your life because he is scared of what you are capable of. Do you understand that? Satan knows what you are capable of and is scared. He will attack you at your most vulnerable and weakest times at life to hold you back from becoming who God has called you to be.
Know that what the enemy is trying to use to drag you down can be turned around and used for God’s will and OUR GOOD. Whatever struggle you are facing, you can overcome it by placing your trust in the Lord and letting Him guide you. Here is how we do it.
“God is strong, and He wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the devil and all his angels.
Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.”
Ephesians 6:10-18 (Amplified Version)
A Prayer For You
Lord thank You for showing me Your truths and creating me for a specific purpose. Guide and give me the strength to overcome any obstacles that I face in my life. Reveal to me anytime the enemy as at work so I can see it for what it truly is. Help me to live fearlessly and fight with the armor of God. In Jesus’ name, amen.
