I don’t need to understand, I just need to hold His hand.
The most powerful worship isn’t done in church. It’s done in hospital waiting rooms, it’s when you’ve been beat down and you’re on your knees. It’s in the privacy of your own home when you’re feeling weak. It’s in those moments when it seems all hope is lost that we have the most powerful moments of worship when we say, “Hey I don’t understand this and this is hard as hell, my heart is broken, my family is devastated, yet I will trust You, I will keep on worshipping You in the middle of my doubts and pains.” It’s in the middle of the mess that this act of faith activates a change and produces hope. Then we start remembering what all God has brought us through. We remember He’s the One who hung the moon and stars. He’s the one who is FIGHTING FOR YOU and will turn things around for your good. Keep up the faith. Keep up the trust.
When no one is looking, that’s when it matters the most. In the middle of a hard hard-fought battle where you think you can’t even move anymore, He meets you right there. He’s never left you. You just have to reach out to Him and He’s always faithful to pull you up and set your feet on a steady path. It doesn’t mean life will be easy, it’s brutal but you won’t EVER be alone and you’ll know the God of the Universe still has your back. So even when you don’t feel it, even when you can’t see it, you feel devastated and hopeless, even hurt and doubting God, keep reaching out to Him and He’ll be faithful always to help you through. He is our strength, He is our Prince of Peace, He’s our joy, He’s our Father. As a son or daughter of the King, you can reach out and get the power to get through anything.
I’m in one of the hardest seasons season of my life where I keep getting hit blow by blow. My daughter is going through health issues among other things that will remain unmentioned for now. It feels like almost every day sometimes, I just get beat down more. Maybe you can relate and you feel the same way right now. Maybe you’re going through something right now. How many of you all know out there who have been through something and God has seen you through the darkest times and you know that He is faithful you know that He has worked things out for your good and your family’s good?
Please comment below and testify to His goodness to bring all those going through a tough time some hope if God has brought you through some things.
We HAVE to keep trusting and believing even through our pain even through our struggles even through our doubts no matter what hand has been dealt to us. There’s still hope and as my Papa would say, “Hang tough” and remember sometimes the most powerful prayers with the Lord happen when we’re in the middle of a war.
God is our defender. He’s our protector. He’s always there even when we don’t feel HIM. Whether you have been done a severe injustice, and you feel helpless, God is still your defender and the truth will always come out. Whether you’re the one who’s done wrong, maybe you’re the one who’s ashamed of secret or hidden sin and shame, there’s still hope, there’s still forgiveness, there’s still time but we don’t have forever. Life is short and fleeting. Enjoy time with your loved ones while you have the chance. Make things right with others before it’s too late. Come to the cross at the feet of Jesus while there’s still time to find Hope peace, joy, and love that no one else can give from a God who won’t ever let us down so even if it feels like it, He’s still working behind the scenes and He could turn everything around for your good just keep trusting and watch them work. God is faithful. He is true to His word.
Thank you Lord for this truth we thank you Lord for your peace thank you Lord for your hope we thank you that we were never alone and you’re always with us, but you will never leave us or or forsake us that you’re fighting and working behind the scenes for our good that we can come to you at our weakest and you will be our streets you are faithful you are good you keep your promises. We praise you Lord and will give you all the glory and honor when we see you move and do the work that only you can do. We give you our situations. We give you our fears in our doubts. Our broken hearts are confusion pain or shame. We lay it all down at the feet of your cross. We thank You in advance that You’re gonna help us and You’re gonna see us through that you’re gonna be right there with us through it all Jesus’ name amen. Thank you that you’re gonna surround us and bring people into our lives and bring into our lives that we need that will bring about healing. In Jesus’ name, amen.
A little encouragement
My grandma who I call Mimi showed me this song that just instantly ministered to my soul. The kind of ugly crying you don’t want others to see hit me. I try so hard to understand things because that’s just the way I’m wired. But sometimes unfortunately we won’t understand on this side of heaven. I don’t know if we ever will but I’m learning, we don’t need to. The lyrics of the song that hit were: “I don’t need to understand, I just need to hold His hand.” I hope you find what ministers to your soul.
Keep on holding onto His hand if you don’t understand. That’s what I’ll be doing and I hope you’ll join me too!
May the Lord bless you and keep you! May His face shine upon you and give you peace! 🩷
