Everyone is looking for answers. We want to have a purpose. We all want to know why we are here and what we’re supposed to do.
No one is perfect. We live a sinful and hurting world. But there was One whose name was Jesus and He was perfect. Jesus didn’t come to condemn us, He came to save us. To bring us hope and a future.
It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or haven’t done.
Jesus accepts you as you are. You don’t even have to clean yourself up before coming to Him. He has always been waiting with His arms wide open for you when you are ready. But we are never promised tomorrow.
You can spend your whole life chasing after things but they won’t ever satisfy you. Things don’t last. They are temporary bandaids instead of the real deal.
We all have a desire to have a purpose for our lives and find out what life is all about. But God is our only way to ultimate fulfillment. If we want real joy and peace that last, He is the only way. He’s also the only way to heaven. Not everyone goes to heaven.
God sent His one and only Son to take on all our sin and shame. He was wrongfully persecuted and crucified on a cross for our sins while we were still sinners. He died a brutal death and rose again on the third day overcoming death and hell.
This is why we now can make it to heaven. Jesus paid the ultimate price by sacrificing Himself in our place to make a way for you and me.
If you’ve never accepted Jesus as your Lord, this is how you can…
Pray this out loud:
Lord Jesus, I believe in you. I believe that you died for me and rose again. Please come into my heart and forgive all my sins. Become the Lord of my life. Thank You for washing me clean and giving me a fresh start. Show me how to live for You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
“If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:4

I’ve accepted Jesus as my Savior and it’s the best thing I ever did.
Great article Heather. Being transformed by renewing my mind has become a major thing in my life…letting the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in His sight is the verse I go to when I have negative thoughts. I realized how often my negative thoughts were what brought me down, but choosing to replace them with God’s voice has brought a tremendous change in my life. Thanks for this article!
Thank you so much Debbie! That’s another great verse to go to that I need to remember. Thank you for your testimony and for the kind comment! I’m glad I’m not the only one who experienced this healing of the mind.
