If you’re going through a difficult time this holiday, rest easy knowing the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s. Every battle you are facing is being met head on by our Lord Jesus Christ.
He will fight for you and the good news is, the light will always overpower the darkness and WIN. We all could use some good news and cheer this holiday season so here it is…
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”
Light offers us hope…
Life on earth is not easy by any stretch of the imagination but I can’t imagine living life without the One who brings peace even in the midst of life’s overwhelming storms. He brings strength to those who are weary and feel they can’t keep going. He brings provision to those who trust Him, always making a way when it seems there isn’t.
We know that light shines bright in the darkness. When the darkness seems overpowering, even one small light can shine and demand attention in the midst of complete darkness. I heard this analogy recently by Dr. Robert Jeffress that really helps place darkness and light into perspective in respect to Jesus.
Light offers us direction…
On a runway on a dark rainy night, how in the world can a pilot land his plane safely on a narrow pathway? A pilot can land safely because he follows the beacons and the light. God has left the light on just for you to lead you safely home– and the light is Jesus Christ.
“God sent a man, John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.”
This Christmas season, every time you look at beautiful Christmas lights, I hope you are reminded of the Light who was born to save the world, the reason we celebrate Christmas Day. There’s always hope with Jesus Christ, He brought the Light and consequently hope to every hopeless situation. All we have to do is put our faith in Him and He will see us through anything and everything.
Stay hopeful friends!
