How to Love Yourself

When will we start viewing ourselves as priceless and treasured by God? I’m absolutely disgusted with human and sex trafficking and how prevalent it is. We know that’s wrong and inhumane yet we devalue ourselves constantly. How can we expect to love others if we can’t love or respect ourselves?

We are completely accepted by Jesus no matter how much we have screwed up. We are beautiful just the way we naturally are to Him. So many people today think it’s best to show as much skin and just give it up to any person that shows interest. They are looking for love in all the wrong places. What they don’t know is that they are believing a lie.

They think they can find fulfillment and satisfaction from other girls or guys. But the fact is, they are cheapening themselves. They don’t understand they are literally dishonoring their own body. As christians we not only dishonor ourselves but we dishonor God when we do this. This scripture is clear.

God loves us fiercely and that will never change by what we do or don’t do. Don’t let others pressure you into dressing a certain way to get noticed, to have sex, or to harm your own body with substances or anything else.

You’re better than that.

You’re worth more than that.

Stop comparing yourself to others.

Start respecting yourself today.

Start loving yourself because Christ loves you!

A Prayer For You

Lord thank You for loving me for who I am. Forgive me for not loving and respecting myself. Show me how precious and valuable I am to You and help me to respect myself like You do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
