What gifts do you have that you aren’t utilizing? We all have God-given talents and abilities. We are all different but that’s what makes us unique. No gift is greater than another and God values those talents equally.
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
Romans 12:6-8 NIV
So what is holding you back? Is it fear and doubts? Are you afraid you aren’t good enough or that someone else is already doing it so why try?
We need to stop comparing ourselves to what others are doing. This is a lie that keeps us from reaching our destiny. God called YOU to meet a need. God gave YOU the abilities you have to use them.
Once we stop comparing our success to others, we will actually be able to do what God sent us here for and be happy doing it. You can’t be anyone else and that is exactly what God wants from you.
It doesn’t matter if no one else has done it or if the trail has been blazed. Don’t let fear keep from trying. Don’t talk yourself out of who you are supposed to be. You may even have people doubt you and your abilities, but keep doing it!
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying we should do EVERYTHING. I am saying to search your heart and seek the Lord to find out what gifts you have that you aren’t using. This isn’t to discourage you from your call but to empower you to fulfill the rest of your lives with achieving God’s purposes in your life.
It doesn't matter your age, your experience, or what you've done. God can use you where you are right now. He has a purpose and plan for your life.Click To TweetYou may not be able to see all the lives that you are touching by using your gifts but trust me, God has you doing those things for a reason. Stay faithful to the call and trust the Lord.
I came across this inspiring song on Air1 radio on my way to work today. Check out some of the lyrics below.

A Prayer For You
Lord thank You for creating me uniquely with the talents I have. Forgive me for not always using them how I should. Show me how to do what you’ve called me to from now on. In Jesus’ name, amen.
