Holidays are around the corner along with them can come stress and tense times if you aren’t careful. When families get together it can sometimes get a little crazy. We all have some relatives or friends that get a little snippy when they feel under pressure. You may be that someone yourself!
Crowded grocery stores, long lines in the shopping malls, and stand still traffic on the roads can cause us all to be on edge. Instead of rolling your eyes at someone taking a long time in the grocery line, give them a smile.
You can’t control your circumstances or others’ actions but you CAN control how you respond. You can still choose to have a good attitude and be kind. Remember that there are many lonely and hurting people during the holidays. If you are one of those people, I pray God will give you peace and comfort during these times.
In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Let’s cherish the upcoming holidays and special times with family and friends. You never know when it will be their last or yours so enjoy it! If something doesn’t go exactly how you imagined, let it go and have fun anyway! Remember the holidays are a time of joy, thanks, and giving.
A Prayer For You
Lord help us to be patient and kind this holiday season. Help us show grace and mercy as You have shown us. Let Your love overflow through us to those who are hurting this holiday season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
