I’m tired of seeing “Christians” who get even, hate, mock, or condemn other people they don’t agree with. I would argue that they aren’t truly Christ followers or they are new believers that haven’t learned any better yet. Let’s start loving instead of condemning.
What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? 1 Corinthians 5:12
Only God has the right to judge other people, not us. We don’t have any right to condemn someone’s lifestyle when they aren’t following God to begin with. That is their choice. What we can do is love them and be kind instead of harsh and judgemental.
Love is a choice not a feeling. We can choose to be gracious, kind, forgiving, respectful, patient, and genuinely listen to what others have to say. Don’t just disregard someone because they don’t agree with you.
How can you do this? With God’s help. He is love and the closer we get to Him the more we become like Him. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.
There isn’t just a light at the end of the tunnel there is a light within you right now. Don’t let your light burn out in a world that is desperately looking for one. Hope is here, will you let His love shine through you to others?
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Colossians 3:14
A Prayer For You
Lord help us to love others around us like You do. Give us words to say and a heart that sees past faults. In Jesus’ name, amen!
