What are you striving for in life? Have you been seeking happiness but only find discontentment? Are you trying to do it all on your own in your own strength? Find out what you’ve been missing here.

Have you forgotten the One who created you and has your best interest at heart?

Don’t be like the stubborn King who looked for help everywhere except God and came to ruin when he could have lived in victory and peace (2 Chronicles 16:7‭-‬13). Yet how many of us try to rely on our own strength when we know we are mere dust that will return to the earth.

I find myself worrying about the future and trying to work things out in my own power. Even though repeatedly the Lord has proved Himself faithful to carry my burdens and provide for us.

The Lord has opened and closed doors of opportunity. He’s brought opportunities I never would’ve dreamed up. There’s no way I could’ve planned for it better myself even though the enemy would like to convince us otherwise.

“The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.”

2 Chronicles 16:9

God is looking to bring you peace and joy in every moment. He is showing you how much He cares about you in the little things. He isn’t going to leave you hanging when you put your hope and trust in Him.

Don’t get distracted about what could’ve been and how things could be better. Be still, soak up the moments like a squeezed sponge in a bath of hot water. Enjoy your life now no matter how dull or boring it may seem.

Let’s be like a sponge and soak up every precious moment we get here on earth. Just ask those who had the chance and wasted it and are now 6 feet under.

Don’t miss out on relationships and life happening right under your nose. Stop striving and see what all you have been missing.

Everyday is a gift and every moment is a moment wasted if you don’t take in its beauty. Life can be beautiful in the mundane and ordinary.

“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalms 46:10

Stay hopeful!
