Are you overwhelmed? You may be out of a job, facing a hard road, or just have a lot going on. All of us have felt like giving up at different times in our life whether it was for a significant reason or not.
Nick Vujicic is someone who felt like giving up. He was born without legs or arms. I can’t imagine living without my legs or arms while everyone else around me had theirs. It would be so easy to grow resentful and bitter towards others. He felt like no one valued him and his life meant nothing.
Nick came to a crossroads in his life where he contemplated suicide. It was at that moment he realized that God accepted and valued him. He discovered that God did have a plan for his life and he chose to put his hope and trust in Him.
He has been ministering to others with his “Life Without Limbs” Ministry for 10 years now giving God all the glory. God has used him to reach many souls all over the world who feel inadequate and unloved.
Nick chose to make the best of life and to trust God despite the odds against him. He discovered he wasn’t the only one who felt like giving up and began helping others. He has inspired many others to hang in there. God has greatly blessed him with a beautiful, loving wife and son.
God loves you just like he loves Nick. He has a plan for your life for hope and a future no matter how hopeless it may seem. He treasures and loves you more than anyone else has the ability to. God has been there through it all waiting patiently with open arms to embrace you. Let go and let God take over the reins of your life.
If you’re going through a tough time and have exhausted every effort, let God do what only He can do. Rest in the peace that only comes through trusting Him. In the meantime, you can still choose to enjoy life and do what you are able. Remember, God can turn any hopeless mess into something beautiful.
A Prayer for You
Lord, thank You for loving and seeing value in me even when I feel no one else does. Please give me the strength to carry on when life isn’t easy as I place my trust in You. Help me to grow stronger in every situation I face. In Jesus’ name, amen.
