Hope is my word for 2021. Hope is what keeps us going in the midst of uncertainty. Hope is what keeps us going during trials.
I was feeling nervous while in labor but a song came to me “Let Hope Arise” giving me encouragement! I kept singing that over and over again out loud and in my mind. I know it was God helping me get through early labor and anxiousness.
“Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God… I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.”
Psalms 42:5-8
This past year has taught me that hope doesn’t happen by accident. You have to intentionally pursue God and have a thankful heart no matter the circumstance.
My faith, trust, and hope in God is what gets me through. Hope is never lost but it can always be found.
A Prayer For You
Lord Jesus, give us a new heart and fresh mindset that hopes in You. I know You have great plans for me and a hope for my future. In Jesus’ name, amen.
