Have you ever felt like no one knows what you are going through? Have you felt like no one understands or even believes you? You aren’t alone.

Everyone is unique and experiences things differently. We all handle things in our own way. You will find people that have been through similar experiences but not exactly the same.

Even the strongest of us need help sometimes. When we go through difficult times, we need other people to lift us up and let us know we’re going to be okay. That’s why God puts certain people in our lives.

It’s important when things go wrong that we DON’T do these 3 things.

  1. Keep it to ourselves
  2. Tell people that shouldn’t know
  3. Think we are alone

If we keep everything inside, it will come out in an a very ugly way eventually. I’m the type of person that internalizes things and has a tight inner circle. I have a hard time sharing my struggles with others but have a few confidants.

On the other hand, there are times we tell people things that have no business speaking into our lives. Sometimes you just have to discern who will give good advice and be an encourager. If you don’t, it could lead to added stress and confusion. If you’re feeling worse than you did before after talking with this person, it most likely is time to choose another confidant.

I want you to know you are never alone. Not only are there people who have gone through what you have but we have a God that knows it all. He is the only one who truly sees what is going on inside our hearts and minds.

We need strong, godly influences speaking good things into our lives. Don’t forget the most important confidant we have as Christians – Jesus. He is the one who knows and sees everything.

God is the one who will open and close doors of opportunity. He is the one who brings people in your life to help you. He is the one fighting on your behalf even when you don’t know it.

Know that even if everyone around you doesn’t know or understand, there will always be one who does. His name is Jesus, our wonderful counselor. He is the one who will never leave you or forsake you. Be comforted that He is always with you and will bring good out every situation (Romans 8:28).

If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:9-11

A Prayer For You

Lord Jesus, I know You see me and care. Surround me with Your comfort and strength during these difficult times. Show me who I can reach out to that I can trust who will give godly counsel. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Stay hopeful!
