Year In Review

I literally blinked and the year was over! What’s up with that?! My husband Garrett and I set some goals at the end of last year and I’m glad to say we accomplished most of them! Here is a picture of us bringing in the New Year with friends!

New Years Eve with Friends

I launched this new site 7 months ago and you all have shown so much love to me through this process. So thankful for all of you and hope that you will have a bright year ahead! The support and engagement have been overwhelming not just on here but on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Y’all are awesome!

I need to catch you all up about our trip in November. We went on 10 day study tour of Israel that was AMAZING! I won’t ever read the Bible the same. Here are some highlight pictures plus I’ll be sharing more about the trip soon!

One thing I’ll share about Israel happened on our flight to Tel Aviv. Orthodox Jews dressed in white prayer shawls and yamakas would frequently pray and recite the Torah (first 5 books of the Bible). It was like clockwork for a portion of our plane that would get up to find a secluded place and do these things.

It made me think twice about the meaning of dedication, especially to the Lord. They don’t believe that Jesus was the true Messiah but I still learned a very important lesson.

I don’t know about you but I place so many other things before God that I shouldn’t. I’m not as dedicated as I should be. That’s not to say religion over relationship is the answer. The answer is spending time with the Lord which I place low on my priority list too often.

What’s Ahead

I’m excited to say that we’ve reached 48 countries in the past 7 months on the new site! My goal is to cover the map below in more color this time next year. Sharing lots of hope with everyone is my main focus!

This leads me to the word I have picked out for the New Year: FOCUS. This year I want to laser-like focus on God’s call on my life while blocking out all distractions!

I don’t want to be lazy and miss out on God’s best for my life. So this year my FOCUS is on sharing hope and saving souls. I want to keep my eye on the prize and not lose sight on why I’m here.

Goals

Garrett and I came up with some goals for the new year. Some of mine were to continue reaching souls, paint more often, learn a song on the piano, exercise more, and eat fresh foods.

I also want to continue helping Garrett’s community on Twitch grow. We view it as a ministry as I do with this blog. He does a “word of the day” and prays before he starts playing games. It’s really cool to see a growing positive community that prays for each other.

He met his goal of becoming a full-time streamer on his EagleGarrett channel and now he wants to make partner. Garrett led one soul to the Lord while live streaming not that long ago. We want to see more souls come to the Lord this upcoming year!

I’m very proud of my husband but it hasn’t been an easy road for us. Long nights and bogged down schedules have tested us. But the Lord has provided and been faithful every step of the way.

Ministry isn’t an easy road but there’s no question that we are where God has called us to be. I’m thankful for what all God has brought us through and blessed us with this past year! I’m filled with excitement to see what else God has in store!

I encourage you to set specific goals for this New Year. It’s a great feeling to look back knowing you accomplished goals you set at the beginning of the year.

If you don’t meet all your goals, then you can re-evaluate if that’s a goal you want to keep or are no longer interested in doing. It’s also very interesting to see where God takes you that might be different from the plans you made.

What is your WORD for the upcoming year?

Stay hopeful!
